Project Description: This project, based on a conceptual non-profit organization, was made to learn the importance of branding. I decided to create an organization on a topic that I am passionate about: mental illness. Mental illness is something that I have close experience within my life and that I deal with every day. The first step was to create a name that best fits what I wanted to portray with my organization. Clear Mental Illness Initiative is to clear the current stigma of mental illness. I looked up ideas that symbolized the word clear and chose to use a calla lily as my mark. Calla lilies symbolize rebirth and resurrection, and specifically the white calla lily meaning innocence. After creating different versions of the lily, I matched it up with typography. I went through various versions of the mark and type. After establishing the logo, I colored the logo in blue and yellow, which portray serenity and happiness. I placed the logo on different applications to enhance this project and bring it to life.
